Hello everyone, I installed a google nest thermostat in our family vacation home. There are 4 users that can control the the google home apps. 2 of the 4 users keep getting an error message when they click on “thermostat”.

Hello Jeff,
I have not had a chance to ask the two household members having trouble if they have the address in their app. I will respond with an answer one way or the other when I do.

No problem, Reluhcs. Just give us an update when you get a chance and we can pick things back up at that point.
Thanks,
Jeff

Hello,
I checked the app on their device to confirm if they had the address or not per DD8’s suggestion. And they do indeed have the address in Settings, Home Information. They still cannot access the thermostat in google home. But are able to access to the wifi points within the app.

Hi Reluhcs,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Could you factory reset your Nest Thermostat and remove it from the app? Here's how: How to restart or reset a Nest Thermostat
Keep us posted.

Hi Mark,
I did see Mel’s factory reset recommendation. I have not had the opportunity to try that yet because it is the thermostat in my second home.
Thanks,
Nick
