E298 error all of a sudden

My thermostat is showing no power and won't connect to the internet all of a sudden. I've tried troubleshooting to no resolve. Please assist as I don't want to pay $200 for hvac tech.

Hi Tasha3,

Thanks for reaching out. I'd like to know more about it. Please check your Nest Thermostat Wiring information and check for wires that appear as grey. This means that the wire is not sending voltage to your thermostat. Some wires, like a C or R wire, need to send voltage to keep your thermostat powered on.

To check it, go to your thermostat Settings Equipment Wiring info. 

Also, ensure that all the wires are connected properly to its terminals. Just make sure to turn off your power breaker before touching wires.

I have the same issue.  One minute, I get 32.8V reading... the next 0V.

It was working since January but I got issues just now.

Thanks for letting us know. Were you able to check your Nest Thermostat wiring information? Check as well all the wires connected to your thermostat. Please keep me posted.
