Eco Mode is out of control and I haven't found a solution to turn off

The Eco mode on both of my thermostats seems out of control. I don't have any away routines enabled and I can't find a setting in the Google Home App that allows for it to be removed. This is all happening while I am in the house and even in the same room as the thermostat.

You need to turn off other features like learning, auto schedule, cool to dry & airwave. Also might need to delete your schedules. That’s if you want to always operate the nest manually good luck

Thanks. The Home App doesn't appear to have any settings around learning.

Just going to throw my thermostats and start over. There has to be a brand out there with better support.

Hi folks,

@DrConcrete, thanks for reaching out to us, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. I want to check if you are still in need of any help. If so, to disable your Nest Thermostat 2020 automatically swiching to Eco mode, please follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap Automations .
  3. Under "Household Routines," select Home or Away.
  4. Select the device action you want to remove.
  5. Tap Remove action.
  6. Tap Save to save any changes.
    • You can also tap Close near the top of the screen to discard any changes you've made.

Let us know how it goes.

I appreciate your input, @HVAC

Best,

@Jenelyn_O  The issue is still not resolved. These steps were included in my original post. The issue is I don't have any settings enabled and the thermostats continue to switch to eco mode.

Hey DrConcrete,

Thanks for keeping me in the loop. I'm sorry for the delay. Please perform a factory reset on your Nest Thermostat. First, remove your thermostat to the Google Home app. On your thermostat, go to the Settings then go all the way down to select Factory Reset. After that, continue with the setup in the Google Home app.

Let me know how it goes.

Kind regards,

Jenelyn
