Eco isn’t working

I’ve been holding on to a Nest Learning Thermostat i got at Costco a few years ago and finally had it installed. I’ve had one before in a different house, so I know how they work. I’m realizing 3 days later that a couple wires must be switched. When the Heat/Cool is on it shows a target temp range, but when Eco is on it only shows one temp. Is there an easy fix for this or do i need to get someone back out here? She attached pic for current wiring.

Hi Harr1et,

Thanks for posting in the Google Nest Community forum. I'd like to help. You can follow the guide below on how to change the settings of the Eco Temperature. The steps depend on which Nest Thermostat model you have.

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap Favourites or Devices .
  3. Touch and hold your thermostat's tile.
  4. Tap Settings .
  5. Select the day of the week that you want, then tap Eco.
  6. Tap the plus or minus sign next to the temperature that you want to adjust.
  7. Change the start time if needed.
  8. Tap Save.

Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E

  3. Touch and hold your thermostat's tile.
  4. Tap Settings .

  6. Tap the plus or minus sign next to the temperature that you want to adjust.

Note: If you've set up Home and Away routines, you can use the Home app to select if your thermostat will use Eco Temperature while you're at home or away. Change Home and Away routines settings

Nest app

  1. Select your thermostat on the Nest app home screen.
  2. Tap Settings Nest settings icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
  3. Select Home/Away Assist.
    • At the top of the screen, you can disable automatically switching to Eco Temperature.
    • You can also select if your thermostat will use Eco Temperature while you're at home or away.
  4. Tap Eco Temperature to set the temperature range.
  5. To adjust the range, drag the slider.

Tip: The Nest Leaf leaf icon will appear to let you know that you've chosen a temperature that can help save energy.

With your thermostat

  1. Press your thermostat ring to open the Quick View menu.
  2. Select Settings Nest settings icon Eco.
  3. Select the temperature that you want. If your thermostat controls heating, you'll see 'Heat to'. If it controls cooling, you'll also see 'Cool to'.
  4. Press the thermostat ring to select the temperature that you want to change. Turn the ring to adjust, then press again to set.

Best,

Jenelyn
