Eco mode on Thermostat Model GA01334-US

How do we disable the eco mode.   Every post on this site is for the 3rd generation thermostat on the nest app.  There are no solutions for the newer thermostats (Model GA01334-US) and the Google Home App.

I understand that having your thermostat behave in an unexpected way can be frustrating, especially when it doesn't maintain the temperature you've set. I'll be happy to provide you with the instructions on how to disable Eco Mode on your Nest Thermostat.

On the thermostat:

1. On your Nest device, tap the touch bar to access the menu.
2. Select the ‘mode’ icon that is represented by 4 wavy lines.
3. Turn off Eco Mode or select another mode like Heating and Cooling.

First of all, my Nest thermostat does not have a “Mode” icon represented by 4 lines.    Secondly, Eco is not an option.   My device has cool, heat, heat/cool, and power.  But regardless, it keeps turning onto eco mode even after setting it to a different mode from the Google Home app.   As stated in my initial post, my thermostat uses the Google home app, NOT the Nest app.  And my thermostat is the newer, mirrored face.  Model GA01334-US

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I’m sorry for the misunderstanding. Let’s try to fix this!

Unfortunately, the Nest thermostat doesn't currently have a disable option for Eco mode. However, you can try these steps to achieve your preferred temperature:

• Update: Ensure both your Nest thermostat and the Google Home app are up-to-date.
• Home Away Routines: Ensure the Home away routines feature is disabled through the Google Home app. This is a feature that can change the temperature when you’re at home or away. For instructions, check out this article: Change the settings for Home and Away routines.
• Delete Eco Mode Schedules: Delete any schedule set on the Nest thermostat with a green leaf (indicating Eco mode). For reference, see: Temperature schedules for the Nest Thermostat.
• Eco Mode Adjustment: Adjust Eco Mode settings for cooling and heating to your desired temperatures. After configuring, create a new personal schedule and verify there is no green leaf. You can refer to the next article: How to change which temperature Eco heats or cools to.
