Hi,
anybody uses Eddi with Nest thermostat? As you know Eddi heats the water tank with excess energy that has been generated via solar panels. My question is: do you still use Nest schedule to heat the water occasianally? What if I disable the schedule but keep the bacteria prevention mode on, does Nest still calculates if the water tank is heated 2 hours consecutively in 48 hours or not?

Hi Martin111,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Google Nest Community.
When you set a water heater schedule on your Nest Thermostat, it will follow these and still heat your water based on the set schedule.
Check out this link for more details.

Ryan

Please respond only if you know the answer and willing to answer my question, and not pretend as you answered it. Did you even read the question carefully?!

Hey Martin111,
It's been a while since we checked in on your situation here. I wanted to touch base to see if you were still having problems with your setup or to see if you got things worked out. If you still need some help, let me know and I can jump in and work on things with you.
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
thanks fir asking. I have another question now:
when I started using nest I set up the learning feature on. Now I can see that it does not work for me, so I turned it off. I want to adjust the tempereature manually all the time. Unfortunatelly all a sudden the system uses the data from before and turns it off. What can I do to have full of control?

Hey Martin111,
It's been a while since we touched base on this and I wanted to circle back around and see if you had sorted out your problem with the temperature settings or to see if you were still needing some input on that. If there's more you still need, please let me know.
Thanks,
Jeff
