Error code N80

Hello,

my nest learning thermostat III generation is reporting every now and then the error code N80. It happens every two months more or less since September. Basically it says that there is a connection problem to the heatlink. When it appears I just click on check connection and the message disappears. During normal functioning the thermostat says that it is both connected with wifi and cables to the heatlink.

The strange thing is that there is no N80 troubleshooting on the guide. Am I missing something? Do you have any suggestion?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi Alex! I'm sorry to hear about this inconvenience, but i'm here to help. The N80 code, is specific to Open Therm boilers and it means that the display has lost the wireless connection to the Heat Link. Since your device is also wired it doesn't represent an issue and most likely that's why it also disappears as soon as you press on connect. It is not needed for the thermostat to be connected both wired and wireless, as the wired connection is much more secure and stable.
