Fan is on, but not heating

Thermostat timing programming is being followed but sometimes only the fan turns on blowing cold air…no heat.  It is set to heat mode. Program asks for sleep temp to change to comfort temp at 6:30a. Cold air blowing lowers temp! So the blower just runs until I finally stop it. But SOMETIMES it works and nice warm air circulates. So I know the heater works. Where is the problem? Is it my furnace or my thermostat?

I have same issue. Some days warm some cold air. Went through entire set up and everything I tried still blows cold.
