I just installed a Nest thermostat but it won’t turn the fan on when it calls for heat. Everything else seems ok and it will turn on the furnace, but no fan. I put the old thermostat back in place and the fan runs fine so I know it‘s not the heating system. I was very careful to note the way the wires were connected to the old thermostat and they’re connected the same on the Nest. I tried resetting the fan wire (G) and also reset all the wires, still no fan. I rechecked the connections at the air handler.
I have an oil furnace and three separate heating zones in my house. Each zone has its own thermostat and I’m currently focusing on just one. If I can get it to work, I’ll replace the thermostats on the other zones.
Any suggestions? Is there any more info I can provide to help?

Hi Russ8700,
Sorry to hear about your experience with your Nest Thermostat as well as for the delay. Let's take a closer look into this.
A few questions — what specific Nest thermostat do you have? Since this is a first time setup, did you check your system’s compatibility with the Nest thermostat with our online Compatibility Checker? Also, could you provide a photo of your wires before and after you installed your Nest thermostat?
Best,
