Installing Nest power adapter

Hello Folks,

I have multiple Nest Thermostats to control multi-zone heat and none get power because there is no C wire. So, I got a Nest power adapter and I am trying to install it to a hydronic gas-based multi-zone heating system. It needs to be installed at the control board of the system. I can see the C wire on the control board but the R and W wires weren’t going next to the C wire aren’t going to the thermostat. They are going to the control valves. So, I am now confused on how to install my power adapter. Thanks in advance on any tips.

Hey us-skunkworks,

Sorry for the delay but thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community.

You can install the power connector yourself, or call a pro if you're unsure how to do so. For a brief video of the installation process, go to How to install the Nest Power Connector. Since you have a zoned system with more than one thermostat, you need to install the power connector at the zone controller. If you can’t locate your zone controller, it is really beast to contact a pro.

Best,

Melba
