Farsight won't update to show Current Temperature

Despite going into the Nest settings and changing the Farsight display to display "Current Temperature" instead of "Target Temperature" the display still shows the Target Temp in large numbers. It will update to clock and weather if I change it to those but regardless of "Current" or "Target" being chosen they both show the Target Temperature in big numbers. I don't understand why it will not update. I've restarted the Nest, reconnected the wifi, etc.

I understand that your Nest Learning Thermostat is not displaying the current temperature in large numbers on its Farsight feature, even though you’ve selected that option in the settings. Instead, it continues to show the target temperature. I appreciate your efforts in trying to solve this situation. I can definitely help you with this!

To better assist you, I’d like to ask for the following information:

In the meantime, I’d suggest the following:

  • Ensure you have the latest software version on your thermostat. For instructions, refer to this article: Update Nest products and apps.
  • Please check the thermostat's sensors and let me know the values for the following:
    • Go to your thermostat’s settings, then Technical Info, and finally Sensors.
    • Find the "Long" sensor. Wave your hand in front of the thermostat and see if the value changes from 0 to 1.
    • Locate the "ALS vis" sensor. Pass your hand close to the display and check if the value changes.
    • Note the value for the "ALS infra" sensor.
