First DIY Thermostat Install

Hello everybody!

I just recently moved into a new home and im looking into installing the Nest Learning Thermostat. Im new into doing all of this myself and really looking forward into learning.

The current thermostat that its installed is an Emerson 1F83C-11NP, the Furnace is a Trane Gas Furnace. The wiring of the thermostat is the following:

1. RH (Orange)
2. Y (Black)
3. G (Green)
4. W (White)

Just want to make sure if everything is compatible and if not what can I do, before I start doing this project.

Thanks for posting here in the Community forum and for showing interest in our Nest Thermostats. Are you located in North America or Europe? Please send us a photo of your previous thermostat wiring configuration so we can take a closer look. You may also use our Compatibility Checker to determine if a Nest Thermostat is compatible with your heating and cooling system.
