Flashing light no display

We installed a nest system autumn last year. Around June the thermostat  stopped connecting to the WiFi and now it just flashes a greengreen with a blank screen . The documentation says this should not last very long, but it has been two months. I have tried switched usb cables and adaptors , but this hasn't done anything.

Did you try these steps?

If the light blinks green and your thermostat is unresponsive for more than 15 minutes, it may have frozen during the update.

  1. Try to remove and reconnect the display. Pull it straight off the base. Make sure that the pin connector is lined up correctly and push it back onto the base. You should hear a click to confirm that it is properly seated.
  2. If reconnecting the display doesn't help, you can manually restart it.

To manually restart the thermostat:

  1. Press your thermostat ring and hold it down until the screen turns off (about 10 seconds). Then let go of the ring.
  2. Press and release the ring to turn it back on and complete the restart process. The Nest logo will appear when it begins to start up. The screen will turn on as it finishes.
