Force Fan "on'

Nest thermostat installed and works fine. But I have it in a house I'm not always in. When present in the winter, I augment automation with ventless Propane. Situated in the corner of an 800 sq.ft. room, I want the fan on, till I turn it off. I can't locate the typical "fan on/off" switch capability... When NOT at the house, I want to set the thermostat a 45F. There also doesn't seem to be  "HOLD" button (disabling the scheduling, but running thermostat/air).

Hi there,

@PaulW1, chiming in — Hold is a feature that overrides Schedules and auto-away modes for up to 12 hours. You can set and hold a specific temperature preference for a specified amount of time. If your concern is your fan, and if you have a system with a dedicated fan wire, you can manually turn on the fan with the app or your thermostat, or set a fan schedule.

@CoolingWizard, I appreciate your help.

Sorry, I thought i responded: "schedule will work, thought not as simple as thing like having "FAN" timing with {5,10,15,30,45,ON}. I apparently missed the write-up in the product description.

Jenelyn had done a perfect job explaining both HOLD and SCHEDULE FAN... Thanks Jenelyn_O/Jake. Resolved

Paul, the Nest Thermostat has a fan schedule that allows you to turn the fan on for a specified time.  The options are 15 mins, 30 mins, 45 mins, 1 hr, 2 hr, 4 hr, 8 hr, or 12 hours.

So, when in the mountains for the week for Christmas, you need to do it at 10AM and 10PM every day for every thermostat (we have 3 in the house)??

I found "HOLD". Does that freeze the fan in the current position, so temp is maintained and fan setting remains??
