Alternatively, if you don't need your previous settings, you could perform a factory reset: https://www.thermostathq.com/how-to-reset-nest-thermostat/

@Joemedicman, how's it going? You can disable the Lock feature via the Nest app, but if you can no longer access your thermostat in the app. Pull the thermostat display from its base and connect it to a computer. Locate the technicalinfo.PLIST file and let us know if you were able to find it.
