A couple of days ago, my thermostat showed "Not connected" to my network. I've not changed anything with my network. My router is in the same spot it's been for a year. All my other network devices remain connected. When I try to connect my thermostat, it just says "Searching..." and never shows any available wifi connections. My router is exactly 12.5 feet from the thermostat. I tried some of the internet troubleshooting guides. Some of the options they say to try aren't available, such as RESET->NETWORK. I did restart my thermostat. I did restart my modem and router. What's especially weird is that when I manually input my wifi info using the thermostat dial (why isn't this a thing on the app?), it still won't connect. Any other ideas?

Same had just happened to me. All was fine for past few months then save thing happened, suddenly won't connect. Any help appreciated...

I am having the same issues. I’ve been googling it and tried everything they told me to do and nothing works. It’s the thermostat. I actually took a friends off their wall and put it on mine and it hooks right up to my Internet sold. My thermostat is bad and it’s only two years old. I’ve been trying to contact somebody but get no response.

I'm sorry to hear that you're all having the same issues with your Nest Thermostat not connecting to your Wi-Fi networks. I'd be happy to take a look at this.
Are you all getting any message codes in the network settings? What's the message? Also, try enabling your mobile phone's hotspot and see if the thermostat detects its network channel. If so, it's most likely that an unknown variable in your network environment (such as Wi-Fi network congestion, router firmware issues, or a security setting on the device used to cast) is causing the issue.

My thermostat doesn't find any networks. I turned on my hotspot and held it right next to the thermostat for 2 min while the thermostat searched. No networks were found.

Could you please check if there's any messages or code on your Nest Thermostat? Go to your thermostat Quick View menu then highlight the gear icon to see if there are any messages or code. Please let us know what you'll see there.

What are the "steps we're suggesting?" The only one I see in this thread asked us to check connectivity using a hotspot. I've already tried and answered that one. Otherwise, there's been no other help or advice.

I’ve sent many replies. Wondering if my thermostat can be covered under warranty. Can be replaced. I’ve had somebody look at it and I just will not hook up to any Internet. He tried another one and it does work it hooked up to Internet. Borrowed one from a friend. So can I get a replacement for the one I have.

I checked and there are no messages or codes. The closest it has to a message is on the "Internet" item. It just says "Not connected."
