Getting started

Installed the Nest Thermostat.  The screen says, "continue set up on the Google Home App. " I get to the app and it says, "follow the steps on your thermostat's display to find the entry key".  The only display on my screen is " continue set up on the Google Home app." I am completly lost. Help

Thanks for reaching out to us, and I'm sorry to hear that you are having hard time setting up your thermostat on the Google Home app. 

At the back of the thermostat display is an alphanumeric written below the QR code, which serves as the entry key to your thermostat. Once you get it, you may continue to set up your thermostat via the Google Home app.
