Goes to Eco Setting Automatically without being on schedule

Julie717

Unable to adjust the Eco setting for cooling.  The minus option is grayed out.

Is this a setting that cannot be changed?  I never made this setting to begin with and it is NOT on my schedule.

I have found that the Nest automatically goes into Eco when no one is on the room.  It is awful bc we have people in other areas of the house who would love to have a temp lower than 76° in the summer without having to walk into our living room to reset it.

Please let me know.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Julie717,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay and for the trouble this has caused you. Your Nest Thermostat gives you a temperature range that you can select from when you set an Eco Temperature. The Eco Temperature ranges you can choose from are large: 40-70 °F (4-21 °C) for heating mode and 76-90 °F (24-32 °C) for cooling mode.

Home/Away Assist uses data from your Nest product’s sensors and your phone’s Wi-Fi and cellular location data to know when someone is home. For the best experience, make sure that everyone with shared access and control of your Nest products in the app is also using their phone’s location.

You can visit this link for more information.

Best,

Jenelyn
