Google Home App and Nest Learning Thermostat

As soon as I downloaded the Google Home app and connected the thermostat, it started throwing heat. We live in Arizona. This is a problem and I cannot seem to change it. There is only cooling selected on the device and the app. This shouldn't be happening. Any suggestions?

• What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
• How is your Nest Thermostat wired?
• What is the power readings of your Nest Thermostat? You can find this info by going to Settings > Technical Info > Power.
