Google Home App reports Nest Thermotat offline but Thermostat reports it is online

I noticed that my Google Home App reports my Nest thermostat is offline (for 19 days now).  I checked the thermostat and it reports it is connected to my network with a strong signal.  My eero router reports that it is connected and the Nest uploads about 10MB daily, downloads nothing.  When I check prior to the reported outage, I see the router typically reports about 500KB uploaded per day and about 10MB uploaded.

I've made no changes in WiFi network, router, password etc. in over a year.

All other devices on the network report normal operation

I use the google Home app on my iPhone 10.  I deleted the App and re-installed it and behavior is the same.

Any suggestions about what to do to fix this issue?

I have the exact same issue and I use an iPhone 11

Hello Scurry914

I stumbled on a solution this afternoon.

I went through the menu on the thermostat and found a reset option which I tried.

After the reset, it appeared on the Google Home App and appeared to be back to normal.

It's possible this issue was induced by my intermittent connectivity to the internet.  Over the past month or so, I have noticed periodic short periods where I have no internet connectivity.  Just a guess, I've had similar issues in the past (thank you AT&T) but it never induced the thermostat to go offline as it recently did.  I've had the thermostat for over a year with no issues until 19 days ago.

The problem recurred a couple more times in the days after the reset and repeating the reset fixed it.  It has been working fine now.  It may be a result of my intermittent internet connectivity.
