Google Home app Activity tab “No events recorded”

Hi guys, I have a Nest thermostat and I’m able to control it through either the Nest app or the Google Home app on my iPhone, they always sync with each other when I adjust the temperature etc. so it’s functioning properly. However, the Activity tab in the Home app has been showing “no events recorded” for the past three days, even though I did adjust temperature a couple of times, it just didn’t capture any of those actions. Also, the energy dashboard icon on the thermostat interface disappeared, it used to be between the blue house icon and the settings icon. I’ve tried all kinds of troubleshooting like reinstalling the apps and relinking the thermostat, updating both apps and my iOS to the latest versions, but none of them resolved the issue. I know many folks experienced another issue with the events not catching up around noon on Monday as I had the same problem too, but I’m not sure if the above issues I’m having are related to that. Are any of you experiencing the same issues with “No events recorded”? Appreciate any input.

Hello Marshallxz,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I'm sorry for the delay in responding. We're aware of the energy history not showing and the constant heat display on the app. Rest assured, we're actively investigating it.

Regarding the "No events recorded" problem in the Activity tab, it seems like you've already tried some troubleshooting steps like reinstalling the apps and relinking the thermostat, which is a good start. A possible cause for it might be related to the thermostat shutting down due to a power loss or if a hard restart has been performed. This could potentially lead to a data issue.

Please keep an eye on the app for the update and let our product team know about this by sharing your feedback. Hang in there, and hopefully, these issues will get sorted out for you soon.

Best regards,
Mark
