I have 2 of the newest Google Nest thermostats. The first one installed/connected to the Home app no problem. The 2nd one says "looking for the nest Thermostat" and cannot get it to connect. I removed the Home App and reinstalled. Reconnected the 1st thermostat and the 2nd one still will not connect. Any suggestions?

Does it fail to connect by bluetooth or later on during the wifi configuration ? For my second nest thermostat of my 2 thermostats installation, I can setup the language and go pass the quick wire test (using bluetooth connectivity with the thermostat), but the configuration process fails when it tries to setup the wifi. The app says it cannot connect to the device, after the round and square animation went on.
I suppose it could be a lack of power from my 2-wire installation. Not sure.

I replaced my batteries with regular energizer AAA and it worked. The batteries it came with are rechargeable but they sat in the box for 6 months or so - so I think that was the issue. I just don't know if I need to charge the ones that came with it and put them back in or not.

I am having the exact issue. Did you get this corrected? If so, please share what worked. Thank you.

I was able to get it resolved. My setup would stall out at the point where I selected the wiring and the Home App would say it was connecting to the thermostat (to finish) but nothing would happen to complete the installation. I tried redoing it many times and nothing... Then I replaced the batteries, the setup worked first try. I put regular energizer batteries in and it worked. I am not sure if that was the specific problem or a coincidence but mine sat in a box for 6 months before it was installed and I was thinking it might be an issue. It's an easy thing to try - let me know if that worked.
