my AC had been running since last night at 8:00 pm and it’s not almost 10:00 am next day and it has only dropped one degree I normally have house set to 76 but it is not lowering past 78 and keeps saying 2+ hours to cool. Is anyone else having this issue or has had this issue because I’d really like help. I’d also like to add we replaces the filter last week along with i just hoses down AC unit this morning and it’s still not cooling. I decided to turn it off rightnow because I already know my bill is going to be so high.

I'm having problem with new Nest learning thermostat not automatically turning on to cool when it gets hotter than the temperature I set unless I stand in front of it. I think that is similar... and it says long cooling time until it will reach temperature... an hour.

Hello everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiries.
It appears that these are power-related issues that might happen when the system isn't sufficient enough to meet the target temperatures; either the current temperature is too hot or too cold, or there is also a Rush Hour Rewards and Seasonal Savings feature enabled.
Do all your Nest Thermostats have common wires? If so, check the power readouts in its Technical Info settings or in the Equipment settings. In addition, based on the picture posted above, please check out these articles and let us know if you have more questions.
Regards,
Mark

Can you please help me with a Nest Thermostat that will not cool? When I got back from vacation, I noticed the thermostat had some kind of gunk on it, so I cleaned it. It was hard to clean so I guess I was pushing too many buttons in the process. I knew I did something to the thermostat, so I reset it to factory settings, hoping to Clear problems. It's in the 90s here and still have no cool air coming out, just air. I turned the thermostat off for few hours also. The unit is running, but lukewarm air coming out. Is there anything else I can do before an expensive service call? Thank you!

Can someone help me please. My husband is asthmatic and we are in very hot climate. No a/c cooling since last night. I tried everything. Reset the thermostat, deleted it from my phone then reinstalled. Nothing is helping. Air is coming out but the air is not cool. Maybe I did something when I cleaned the thermostat which has some gunk on the dial and screen, I was away for 10 days and when I came home the thermostat had some stuff on it which I tried to clean, off. It was very hard to remove, whatever got on it happened while I was away so I have no idea what happened. Since then, no cool air. Please SOS! Then I called an 888 number online thinking I was calling Google Nest Support but it was a scammer that wanted $89.95 to "unhack" my devices. I'm so confused and have no a/c! Temps will be high 90s today. yikes. Thanks
