Google Nest Thermostat 3rd Gen IS Complete GARBAGE...

I purchased 3 nest thermostats a year and a half ago. Around 4-6 months after purchase two of them completely went down and would not connect to my home's wifi network and wouldn't show or pick up networks in my vicinity. Called Google, and to make a long story short, i was told these 3rd gen are notorious for having bad wifi chips built in them or something to that effect.  Shipped two of them back and was charged a little over 500 on hold until they arrived. Got the replacements in the mail and low and behold i was sent refurbished units that ultimately went out AGAIN after 6 months . Only this time when i needed to contact google for help, i was told the warranty is up tough luck. Oh and on top of all of these issues,  i had to fight with google several times to GET MY MONEY BACK from the authorization hold they put on my card until they received their thermostats.  I had UPS receipts that showed their thermostats arrived at their warehouse within three days of shipment. Yet they still had the charge and hold on my account for up to TWO weeks. ABYSMAL CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Held my money hostage for two weeks then to add insult to injury, sent me 2 trash thermostats that broke down in less than a year anyway. All this after **bleep** near paying 300+ per thermostat. These Products are GARBAGE avoid at all costs. They may look beautiful but when it's all said and done and they crap out, google won't make the process easy on you believe me.

I'm escalating this so a Googler can see this and respond

Just to put it out there, electronics can always have duds or bad devices..  but the nest thermostats are generally reliable.  My 2nd gen has been going strong for 10 years now, and I installed 2 3rd Gen ones about 9 years ago in friends homes, all still working well.   It's frustrating when your device breaks down, but if under warranty they should help you.  Again I escalated this so a Googler will respond next and hopefully help!
