Google Nest Thermostat not tapping

hi, we have a google Nest Thermostat, works just fine as far as turning the ac unit on and off but for some reason we won't be able to tap to change setting etc. Can you guys help me? thanks

Thanks for reaching out. I'd like to know more about it. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? In what country are you located? Do you see any messages or codes on your thermostat screen? Is the issue happening in both the app and your thermostat device? To confirm, is your thermostat asking about a pin or code for you to proceed with the settings?
