If I don’t have Wi-Fi, will a google nest still work?

Hi,
For remote control of the thermostat a internet enabled WiFi connection is required.
Have a look at the Google Nest help center link below for more information.

Hey folks,
Thanks for your responses, Cathal_S and sporfrog.
kortneepona, yes our Nest thermostats would still work without internet connection but like Cathal_S and sporfrog mentioned, you won't be able to fully maximize the smart features of it. Also, everything you need to do must be done manually through it's display like setting it to heating, Eco or off. Take a look at this link for more information: https://bit.ly/3e8zn9F

Kind of...maybe..probably not. So many of the features require the thermostat to have connectivity that it would likely be better to pursue a non-connected thermostat. It won't update for newest features, patches, code changes. You won't be able to configure much of it (how much depends on model). You won't be able to adjust temperatures remotely. You won't be able to integrate it into smart home features. The list goes on and on. I'm not even sure if you would get through the initial installation.
There are articles on the internet for how to use a Nest without Wi-Fi. I read through a few. Personally, I would not use a Nest thermostat without Wi-Fi. Seems like an exercise in frustration.
I am not a Google employee, just someone who likes Nest products and is trying to help folks get theirs working. The above is just one person's opinion.
