Hi,
I called 4 times in the past couple days to try and find a solution to quite a simple problem. In the setup manual and the Google Store it states that the thermostat may be installed either wired or wireless. In the latter case, one needs a support and a USB cable to be bought from the Google Store. It turns out they are not selling them anymore "as these thermostats were launched in 2021" even though they are still being sold by Google.
I also find it is interesting in terms of business policy that there is no official way to file a complaint with Google than posting a message in a forum.

You could try contacting Support.
To contact Support:
1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Select your device from the dropdown, click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Thanks. I tried all of that. Called them up and they said they are not selling a product that is necessary to install the thermostat wirelessly.
