Google home can’t find nest thermostat

Hi all,

I’ve managed to connect the Nest thermostat to the Nest app, but I’m failing to connect it to google home and use it with my Google devices.

when I try to connect I always get a error message and can’t go from there. Could anyone please help?

Once you add a Nest Learning Thermostat to the Google Nest app, it should automatically appear in the Google Home app if you're accessing both apps with the same Google account, are accessing the same Google Nest "home/structure", and have added the thermostat to a "room" in the Google Nest app.

Some costumers in this forum who reported that the thermostat failed to show up in the Google Home app were able to get it to appear by creating a temporary Google Nest "home/structure" in the Google Nest app, then going to that new and empty Google Nest "home/structure" in the Google Home app and deleting it; doing this apparently forced the 2 apps to sync.

Oh man I've been banging my head off the wall trying to get this to work. Your temporary home solution finally solved it.
