Hi,
I have linked my Google home account with my Nest thermostat. So with a Google home mini, I can set temperature with voice.
However, I have locked my authorized temperature range in the nest app but I can override that control just asking a temperature outside the range.
On the google website, I read:
«
I haven’t this lock option in my IOS google home app. For Nest thermostat settings are only:
The name of the Nest thermostat
the home name
the room name
and that all.
so simple voice command like « ok google increase the temperature » could override the limits I have set for my Nest thermostat without need of a password.
Is this an issue with the IOS app? Is there a solution? Thank you

Hi Yannick59,
Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.
You can ask your Google Assistant to change the temperature on your Nest Thermostat. This is also possible even if you set a lock on your thermostat but within the range you've set in the lock option.
Check out this link for the complete guide.
Best regards,
Ryan

Hey Yannick59,
Thanks for the reply.
There are times that feature may not show up if there's an update available for the Google Home app or your iOS. Also, try to download the app on a different mobile device if available.
Let us know how it goes by replying to this thread.
Best regards,
Ryan
