For emergency heat you can pull the Nest off the wall and put a jumper wire across Rh and W that will force heat to turn on. But it will run all day never stop so you have to remove the jumper when house gets too hot.

If there is some other problem with your heating system then this will not work and you would need to use a multi meter to test for power at R to C. In USA the voltage is 24v -30v AC but not sure about UK thermostat standards.

I would get onto the phone and call them, maybe not today now, but try Sunday.

Depends how handy you are, but as a temp job you could fit a manual switch between terms 2 & 3, but you would have no thermostat control just manual. You may have a switch next to the heat link, then you could also just link Terms 2 & 3, and use that switch in manual mode.

Hi @MrGandfriends , sorry for the late reply. I would be happy to try and assist. Do you still need assistance with your thermostat or did you manage to get in touch with my colleagues?

Hi there. Just checking in. How's it going with your thermostat?

Sorry @AlexD  and @CristianC I thought I had responded.  I contacted UK Support who arrange for a replacement to be sent out.  The fault was with the Heat Link which I have now installed, and this seems to have resolved the issues and is working as should be.  Thanks for checking in.

Hey @MrGandfriends. I'm happy to hear that. I'm going to close this thread. If anything comes up, feel free to open a new one.
