Google nest heat alarm

Hello, like many in the UK I am going to be forced to bin my new smoke alarms and look for an alternative to comply with the new Legislation which arrives in February 2022.

This legislation requires a heat only detector to be fitted in the kitchen.

Whilst I understand that google/nest do not make a compatible heat alarm at the moment can you confirm if one will

Be available before February?

Without the relevant fire protection in place many people could potentially have their home insurance voided in the event of a fire. 

I need this fixed before February and it seems like a no brainer for Google to have a heat detector designed and made to remain current in the Uk market.

This is also an issue in Canada, for my province anyway (Manitoba.) If a house has an attached garage, it must have a heat detector (heat only) installed that must also interconnect with the home smoke alarm system. So that renders the Nest Protect completely unusable in many parts of Canada for new homes and for renovated homes.
