Hi,
I'm writing about the Nest learning thermostat 3 (Version with heatlink).
I'm writing to ask if its possible to add a feature to the software allowing to "switch mode" to the thermostat to run the cooling in the summer.
I have a fan-coil system that in the winter makes heat: the thermostat activate the fans when is cold and there is a call for heat.
The same system also provides cooling so it would be great to have a configuration parameter to switch the thermostat in "cooling mode" so that when the contact is closed turning on the fans when is hot there is a call for cool.
I wouldn't mind, once a year, having to fiddle with the app to revert this flag.
The netatmo has this feature and I'd like to switch to nest but, sadly, I have to wait until this is implemented.
Basically is as simple as adding a flag that "inverts" the output contact.
