I tried a fix that was suggested by one of the community, which was to connect two wires thermostat to the stand at T1 & T2 and to the corresponding T1 and T2 on the heatlink with the power of . Turn the power on and the thermostat connected to the heatlink , light turned green on the heatlink and the thermostat was working normally. As instructions with the power of I removed the connection from the heatlink and placed the thermostat back on the stand as normal. Left it for 24 hrs and did a factory reset as instructed . The heatlink light is slow flashing blue and the Thermostat could no longer find the heatlink and error H71 is back

Hi @Yes1Yes2Yes,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community. I'm sorry to hear you're running into the H71 error and WiFi issues with your Nest Thermostat. I appreciate you already taking some troubleshooting steps, and I'm glad to help you get this resolved.

To provide you with the best solution for your WiFi issues, I just need you to answer these quick questions first:

  • What is the current software version of your thermostat?
  • Can your other devices (phone, tablet) connect to the internet successfully using the same Wi-Fi network?
  • Do you have appliances (like baby monitors, cordless phones, or microwaves) near the thermostat that might cause interference?

To troubleshoot the error code H71, please follow the steps detailed in this article: How to pair the Nest thermostat and Heat Link

I look forward to your response so we can resolve this.

Regards,

Gabriela
