So I installed a Nest Learning Thermostat around Christmas of 2021 and since twice at random times (Both during Summer and Winter), the thermostat will basically be in eco mode but I can hear and fell my heating system working full blast pumping heat through the vents. I have to turn the system and off and on (using either the switch on the air handler or circuit breaker) for it to stop and work normal again. My prior thermostat (not a smart one) did not behave in this manner. I do have a common C wire that is connected as well.

Do you have a picture of the original wiring and another of the current Nest wiring?

Yes, here it is

Hi CFTF,
Thanks for posting the picture of your wiring setup. I have a quick question before diving in deeper. When you turn your system off, are you also switching the Nest Thermostat out of Eco mode, or keeping it turned on after power cycling? Does it behave normally from that point?
Thanks,
Jeff

I never turn it off. So essentially once desired temperature is met and motion isn't detected the eco mode comes on without me having to do anything. And yes it behaves normally until it randomly happens 4 months or so later.

Any insight yet, it has once again happened

Hi folks,
Just wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
@Patrick_Caezza and @Jeff, thanks for the assistance.
@CFTF, I'm sorry to hear the issue is still present. Do you mind me asking if the thermostat is showing any message codes or wiring reports? Also, could you give these steps a whirl on your Nest thermostat settings?
Monitor its behavior and see how it goes.
Thanks,
Mark

Hello, I'm still having the issue. Looking to swap it out during Black Friday as this seems to be an issue with the thermostat in my opinion.
