Heat Link not working at all - no heating!

RSweetman
Community Member

I have an issue with my heat link which seems to be a common problem! No power - only 2 yeras old and has worded perfectly up until now! very dissapointed. I have followed all suggestions and even got a professional to check and there is power to the heat link, it is clearly a fault with the unit itself.

Can you arrange a replacement asap, please, my children are young are feeling the cold?

Thanks.

Hey @RSweetman,

Thanks for reaching out. I'll do my best to get this sorted for you as soon as possible.

Here are some helpful troubleshooting steps:

Press the button on the Heat Link and check if you have any lights on it
Check if the circuit breakers and the switches are set to on
Turn them off and then back on
Press on the button again and check for LEDs

Could you also help me with some answers to these questions?

How long has your thermostat been installed for?
Did the issue happen during the installation?
Is there any error on the Nest thermostat display?
Have you had any power cuts recently?
Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently?
If yes, was the power properly restored at the fuse board after work was done?
How many zones are present in the setup?

Regards,
Cristian

Hi Cristian,

Thank you for getting back to me.
I've checked the circuit breakers, fuses and switches. (all fine)
No lights on the Heat Link whatsoever. (Boiler is working fine)

Heat Link and Nest thermostat were installed just over 2 years ago.
Problem occured Tuesday 26th - its been working perfectly up until that point.
H71 error on the Nest thermostat controller.
No power cuts recently.
No work been done on the electrics or heating.
Only one zone set up.

Hope this all helps,

Regards
Rich

Hi Cristian, I seem to be having the same problem.  I have a learning thermostat. I have had an engineer come out and he has diagnosed that the Heatlink is faulty. Please let me know what information you need to help. Thank you

The issues Chris has highlighted is exactly what has happened to us. Relatively new nest.  Please could someone contact us. We’ve tried all the steps suggested. Nothing. It seems to be an issue with the nest itself. We have no heating or hot water until we’ve sorted this.
