Heat Link will not factory reset it is stuck with yellow light

Please can someone help me. I am trying to set up a nest thermostat and heat link. The thermostat is fine - i get to the link to heat link and I cannot get this to be in the flashing blue state. it is permanently yellow. When I try and factory reset the yellow light flashes 3 time then goes off. The unit is being powered by the micro usb socket as I am trying to set everything up before I hard wire and replace my existing control panel. What am I doing wrong please?

Hi there @neilfishlock! I'm sorry to hear that you encountered this issue, but I'll quickly clear it up. The USB port on the Heat Link is only used for firmware, and it doesn't power it in any way for the Heat Link to be functional. You'll have to wire it in order to be able to pair it.
