Heat Links No Power

monkeyman1980

Hi, we have 2 Heat Links which have suddenly stopped working-no lights, power, nothing.

No tripped fuse on circuit board.

We have a boiler and a mega flow hot water storage cylinder.

Does the boiler need the Heat Links to be functioning to fire up? Boiler is not working either but no pressure drop.
Thanks

Thanks for reaching out to us here @monkeyman1980 . I am sorry to hear you are facing difficulties with your device and I would be happy to try and assist.

It's great you already checked the fuses, that's the first thing we want to check first. If the power all looks good try and power cycle the Heat Link, if you're comfortable in doing so. Turn the power to the Heat Link off for a few minutes and then turn it back on. See if it has any reaction after, when you press the button on it.

The boiler does not need the Heat Link to be on, the Heat Link only controls the demand for heating or hot water by triggering it. So you could see the boiler on, if it has an LED panel or status light even if the Heat Link is completely off. But the Heat Link needs to be on to trigger the hot water or heating.
