Heat link as on off switch.

Hi all, I have a new house, heating is through solar panels heating 1000 liters of water in holding tank.

Then 3 mixing valves send 27 Celsius in underfloor pipes.

  • All I need is a simple on off switch, (a simple thermostat would do just that) to tell the pump to send water up to the house.

Can I use the heat link for lust that?

It is a low voltage system of course, actually no voltage since the two cables I need to connect carry no power they just provide continuity (on off).

Goes the EU version of the Nest support Greece?

For time and weather?

Any other ideas / answers are very welcome.

Thank you.

Hi @Ediokaf

You can read more about what systems the Google Nest thermostat is compatible with at this link: https://bit.ly/2J1gxEm

Generally the Heat Link should be compatible with systems that do not exceed 3 amps of load. The Google Nest thermostat is compatible with low voltage/dry contact combi boilers, you can see some instalation examples here: https://bit.ly/3nt2N4t . But since your system is not just a simple boiler you may want to check with a heating engineer. We can't say if it is compatible for sure since it is a particular system.

As for the region, you can check if you have the option to add it in the Nest app, after you make and account, when creating a home structure. Some regions outside our supported ones may not be available.
