Heat-link 'clicks' but does not turn boiler on for hot water

Issue previously seen and thought it had been resolved, however this is not the case. When the water heat function is activation on the App (either scheduled or boost) the heatlink clicks however the boiler does not turn on. heating of central heating system works perfectly. Additionally when the heating is on, the water will heat up too. this has been a work-round for the winter months (as i just set my water heat same time as central heating) however now we are heading into the summer and warmer weather (hopefully!) i dont want to continue having the CH on.

This is also not an issue with the 2-port valve as its able to open when the CH is set. also when this is forced open, and water is set to come on alone, the boiler still does not turn on.

I am not as up to speed with the electronics of the nest heatlink, but are there 3 separate inputs/ outputs for; 1- Central heating, 2- Water heating, and 3- Central heating AND water heating? im suspecting the output to the boiler from the heatlink (for water setting) is faulty. help would be greatly appreciated.

Same issue here possibly triggered by 2 local power cuts at the weekend.  Interested in a response

Hello JPL91,

Thank you for reaching our community and for the details you provide us.

I understand you're still experiencing issues with your heating system, even after hearing the Heat Link click. Based on your description, it seems there might be a problem with the Heat Link itself.

For this situation we recommend performing a continuity test on the Heat Link. This test checks if the electrical connections within the unit are functioning properly. Specifically, we'd need to verify the continuity between terminals 5 and 6, as well as terminals 4 and 5.

Important Note: Performing a continuity test can involve electrical components. If you're uncomfortable with electrical work, we recommend consulting a qualified technician.

You can reply to this post with the result of this continuity test and i will happy to work with you to find the solution for your problem.

Best Regards,

Douglas.
