Hello,
For a few weeks my nest thermostat lost connection to the heatlink. I tried rebooting both, in different order and sequences but to no avail. What caught my eye is that my heatlink seems to be stuck in an unbreakable loop.
here is the process:
1. heatlink light is yellow
2. I hold down the centerbutton for 20 seconds
3. heatlink light starts flashing yellow
4. still holding down center button
5.flashing stops, light out.
6.heatlink reboots
7. heatlink light is yellow
I tried variations:
1. keeping the button pressed from 2 - 7.
2. let go of the button on 3
3. immediately do 1 after 7
4. jedi tricks
Neither did bring the heatlink into pairing mode (blue flashing light) again.
Pressing the center button once does start/stop the connected heater.
Is there some way to perform a factory reboot on the heatlink so I can get out of my loop?
Thanks!

Why don't you have a go at resetting the Heat Link correctly?
This has been talked about that many times on here I have lost count, just read my answers and you will see.
Press the H/L button for over 35 - 40 seconds, and keep pressed do not release the button. Ignor anything that happens on the way, just keep the button pressed. You can keep it pressed for ever it makes no difference, but after that sort of time the blue light will slow pulse.

Thank you for your answer! I thought I had seen all the related answers and tried all the suggestions. But I must have missed that one sentence to keep it pressed. Thanks a lot for clarifying!

Not really a sentence, it's the correct way to reset the Heat Link!!
