Heat link stopped working - Only 1 year old

Hi,

Had a Next Gen 3 installed with my new boiler 1 year ago. The Heatlink has stopped working, no lights, no over ride, nothing.

How can I look to get a replacement?

Steve

Hey @SteveMartin78,

Thanks for reaching out. I'll do my best to get this sorted for you as soon as possible.

Here are some helpful troubleshooting steps:

Press the button on the Heat Link and check if you have any lights on it
Check if the circuit breakers and the switches are set to on
Turn them off and then back on
Press on the button again and check for LEDs

Could you also help me with some answers to these questions?

How long has your thermostat been installed for?
Did the issue happen during the installation?
Is there any error on the Nest thermostat display?
Have you had any power cuts recently?
Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently?
If yes, was the power properly restored at the fuse board after work was done?
How many zones ( thermostats ) are present in the setup?

Regards,
Cristian

Hello again. Just checking in. How's it going with your Heat Link?

Hi Cristian,

Thanks for your reply, although due to the delay in receiving any response and with no luck with our local merchant in upholding the two year warranty, we had no option but to purchase another control system at our expense (definitely decided against a Nest this time)

However, in answer to your questions, which I hope may help:

No lights whatsoever, the Heatlink was completely dead.

How long has your thermostat been installed for? - a week over 1 year when we had the boiler replaced
Did the issue happen during the installation? - No, it happened overnight. The heating was working in the evening but not in the morning
Is there any error on the Nest thermostat display? The thermostat said that it couldn't connect to the heatlink
Have you had any power cuts recently? - No
Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently? - No
If yes, was the power properly restored at the fuse board after work was done? - All power has been maintained
How many zones ( thermostats ) are present in the setup? - just one, its was operating a combi boiler

My regards

Steve
