HeatLink of 3rd gen. Nest Thermostat is not working anymore

As said: the HeatLink of 3rd gen. Nest Thermostat is not working anymore, and the warranty is just voided 😕

Installed it two years ago, everything worked fine, until a few days ago. The thermostat went dead, so I checked the HeatLink. Also dead. Pushing the button 10, 20, 30 secs did nothing. I switched the power to the system on and off, through the breaker. Still nothing.

Then I took off the HeatLink for a closer inspection: All the wires were connected fimly, when measured the powercord gives 230V to the N/L connection, but there was no 12v volt coming through ports T1/T2. When power only connected through the USB port, still no 12v on T1/T2.

Seems like a really dead HeatLink, any idea's? The warranty was due August 7, 2022 (two years standard warranty in EU). Can it be fixed, or do I buy something else. Not really happy with this...

Thanks for reaching out to us here @RemkoJ . I'm sorry to hear you're facing this behavior from your device and I'd be happy to try and assist.

It's great to see you already checked so many details, those all all the things we want to check first.

Let me get some additional details to make sure we have the full picture.

1. Was it installed by a Nest Pro or by a heating/electrical engineer?
2. Did you notice any message on the thermostat display?
3. Did you notice any power cut in the area before this occurred?
4. Did you have any maintenance done on the heating or electrical system recently?
5. Do you have only one or multiple Google Nest thermostat devices at the location?

Hi Alex,

Thank you for your reply, I already had contact with support through chat, and the problem will be resolved. They will send me a new HeatLink, mine was obviously dead…
