Heatlink has power but no lights and will not work or reset.

How do I organise a warranty replacement?

Hello @jim-grayson,

Thanks for reaching out. I'll do my best to get this sorted for you as soon as possible.

Here are some helpful troubleshooting steps:

Press the button on the Heat Link and check if you have any lights on it
Check if the circuit breakers and the switches are set to on
Turn them off and then back on
Press on the button again and check for LEDs

Could you also help me with some answers to these questions?

How long has your thermostat been installed for?
Did the issue happen during the installation?
Is there any error on the Nest thermostat display?
Have you had any power cuts recently?
Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently?
If yes, was the power properly restored at the fuse board after work was done?
How many zones ( thermostats ) are present in the setup?

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
Spoken to Google and a new Heat Link is supposed to be on its way….

To answer your questions:

No lights at all on HL, 230v ok

Installed 18 months

H71 error on thermostat

Power cut 4 days previously but had worked for 3 1/2 days since

Only 1 zone with single stat

My assumption is that power supply inside HL has failed (post power cut) but by the sound of various threads I read this is a relatively common issue

Cheers

Hello again. Is everything ok with your replacement?

Hi, all good thanks !

Do you know if the replacement HL's are modified in any way to prevent the same problem occurring again ?

We don't have any information we can share about the structure of the Heat Link. Rest assured that we're always looking to improve our products and services.
