I need advice on how to wire my system to my new nest Learning Thermostat V3. These are photos from my system circuit board, wire splices going to thermostat location and outdoor compressor, and existing thermostat wiring. Thanks for any advice on if my system is compatible and how to accomplish wiring the thermostat.

@fj92592 , if you open the box and follow the simple to read and understand instructions of the nest learning thermostat generation three, you’ll be given step-by-step guide on how to do this. Basically your use some stickers to put the letters on the cables that are attached to the old thermostat. In your case, R sticker on red wire, Y sticker on the Yellow wire, C sticker on the Blue Wire, W sticker on the White Wire, G sticker on the Green Wire, and the W2 sticker on the Brown Wire. Follow the instructions and you will be fine.

Just wanted to thank you for your quick response and advice. I was able to use the information you provided and guess I did every thing right as after I got done I was able to power up the thermostat and everything seems to be working correctly. Now I'll just have to try and learn how to use it's advanced learning capabilities to simplify my life and take advantage of all it's abilities to make my life easier?

@fj92592 , as it turns out many user new to the Nest Learning Thermostat get a little confused about the automatic scheduling feature. Keep in mind, it is learning from your actions. Each time you make a change to the temperature set point, the Nest records that. After a week it will build the schedule for you.
