In nest app when I click on history tab last 2 days showing “no usage”.
I don’t understand, does it mean my AC is off ? There is nobody home. It’s on away mode. Thx.

Hi there,

Uh oh! Thanks for letting me know that you're away from your thermostat. Let's see what's going on.

A few questions, do you see any indication that cooling is working on the Nest app or on the Google Home app? For example, you can change the temperature, and it turns blue when it cools. If so, the Nest App might not only be synchronizing. Also, to be sure, do you have someone at home or a family member that we could ask to check your thermostat and your system?

I'll look forward to your response.

Thanks,

Mark

Hello olossine,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry.

The energy history explains why and when the system was activated. Technically, "no usage" indicates that the system is not being used at that particular hour or day, or that the thermostat and the Nest App are not in sync. Check out this guide about Thermostat Energy History and please let us know if you have more questions in mind.

Best regards,

Mark

Thank you. But last 4 days is not showing at all. In history. Is there something wrong with the thermostat? I really need someone who can help me to set it up correct way because I am not at my home in Florida most of the time and I really worry about humidity and temperature and mold. Thx

Thank you Mark,

on app i shows temperature but in white. Not blue. No one there to check. It was linked to Fl WiFi. Do I need to change it to my ny WiFi? Thank you for your help.

Fan has to be on? For how long? Fan is the same as on regular thermostat- cool fan on? But before it worked automatically. I don’t know how much time fan has to work.

Blue screen showed at home thermostat. But not in app

Hi there,

Good question, @Polossine. If you saw that fan running via the Nest App, it might be set to automatic. You can try turning off the fan in the settings and lowering the cooling temperature to at least a few degrees below the current temperature to see if the screen turns blue to activate your AC.

Keep me posted on how it goes.

Best regards,

Mark

Hi Mar, yes when I lower temp to 60 it’s turning blue. But I need to keep it at 75 or 74. While I’m not home. Maybe because it’s on Eco mode screen shows gray and white. ? Thx.

Hello Polossine,

Thanks for keeping me in the loop.

Eco mode would automatically activate when you're away, unless there's scheduled temperature at a specific time. You can change the Eco Temperature in the settings and see what happens. Please follow the instructions on this page and let me know if that helps.

Best regards,

Mark
