Nest Changed Timezone and Language

Hi, I woke up this morning to thinking it was unusually warm for the time of day. Checking on the nest to see what was wrong with the settings it thought it was 1:20 pm when it was actually 7 am.  The only timezone options it is giving me are ones in Europe. I tried to fix this in the nest app and the help is in German! Why is my nest suddenly German??

I was able to change the time to correct it this morning, but this evening it was getting cold too early and I saw that it had gone back to German time and it is not allowing me to change the timezone to anything outside of Germany. I've had this nest for years and this has not be a problem before.

Hello ElfFromSpace,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry — Let's sort this out.

The Location menu on your thermostat displays the current location of your home. If it's not correct, you can change your location from there. If your thermostat is connected to the Nest app and connected to Wi-Fi, it can use your location to gather local date, time, and weather information. Check that your address on the Nest App is correct and that your phone's time zone settings have not changed.

Note: Your location needs to be set correctly for your time to be adjusted automatically.

Please let us know how it goes.

Best regards,

Mark
