Home app and basic Google nest thermostat

I am in Canada but live in liberty missouri where my basic Google nest is connected to my WiFi and until Oct 4th could access (via HOME app) control of this nest thermostat. After a HOME app update at the end of Sept I can not access my basic Google nest thermostat. Must I be back in my liberty home to correct this issue between my android phone HOME app and the basic Google nest thermostat?

Try the steps here:

1. Make sure to sign in with the correct email account associated with your Nest thermostat. If so, try checking for other available home structures. Check out this guide.
2. To change email address. On the home page, select your account profile on the top right hand corner and select the drop-down arrow beside the email, then choose "Add another account".
