Hello. I recently switched over to a Nest but when I optested it, it did not work correctly. It turned on the A/C instead of the heat. We have single stage gas furnace (attic space) and A/C (outdoor). The Honeywell was using brown, green, yellow, white and red with a jumper to rc. Nest wiring support said to run the red wire to rh. I copied over the wiring exactly and it did not work. I reinstalled the Honeywell and it worked normally. Any suggestions?
Nest support did say the system was compatible.

I read that the Nest may think I have a heat pump, which I don’t. So should I set it to B or O and then wire it accordingly?

Post a picture of the original thermostat's wiring here.
