Honeywell thermostat (UK) with 2 wires and earth

A friend of mine is looking to install the Nest learning thermostat to his heating system.  Its a Combi Boiler (Procombi Exclusive 24).  We've been trying to ascertain how this should be wired to the nest but the lack of common is making it difficult to figure out.  Does anyone have any guidance as to how this should be wired up?

Thanks for reaching out to us @Spacejocks . I would be happy to try and assist. If there is a combi boiler at the location the thermostat should be compatible in general.

To clarify on the common, it does not exist in the EU/UK version of the thermostat. You most likely were looking at the US version that is different. For the EU version, we don't check the thermostat wires, like for the US one. We only need to know the type of system.

Check out this link here for more information on the EU version compatibility and our EU compatibility checker. Also, should you wish to see some installation and wiring examples, you can have a look at our installation guide link here. It has a few examples and lots of information.

Hope this helps. Make sure to let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi there, did you manage to check the last message from my colleague?

I did. We're going to attach the cables to their respective numbers on the nest heat link and power it separately with it's own power supply. I think that should work

That's great. Just in case, I'll keep this thread open for the next couple of days, so that in case anything else happens, you can reach me back more easily.
