Hot water no linger showing on and colour stays black when "boost" selected

There has been a recent update to Nest, making it more related to individual spaces. I don't find that any more helpful than the previous layout. However, it appears that a bug has been introduced with this latest update. Previously, if you opted to "Boost" the hot water when the system was off, after starting a Boost period, the hot water display showed On and turned orange to show it was operating  Now, after selecting Boost, the display continues to show "off" and remains black and white. So, one has no idea if the the water is actually "on" to Boost the remperature for the required period. Is it on, or not?
